Membership

If you are interested in applying for membership of Southport Sailing Club please drop by for a chat to discuss the many benefits we offer and experience first hand our informal, friendly atmosphere. The best times to call down are race days/nights when the club is usually busy and we will normally have the bar or galley open. (Times and dates will be advertised on this website, Facebook or Twitter)

We offer an outstanding range of RYA approved training, and offer all new members free access to our training fleet of dinghies for the first year of membership. The clubhouse offers a newly refurbished changing/shower area, training rooms and galley/bar for social events.

Membership application forms are available in the foyer or can be obtained by emailing the below link. Complete your application form and send to Lynn Harris, the membership secretary, enclosing a cheque/BACs for your membership fees. Your application will be put before the next Management Meeting, which is held on the second Tuesday of each month, and the result will be sent to you by post a few days later.   Assuming your application has been accepted your membership cards, club diary and other relevant information will be forwarded to you. We will then arrange to meet you at the club to show you how the alarm system works and if your boat is to be stored in the club compound a suitable space can be allocated and a gate key issued to allow you access to your boat whenever you want to sail.
